Why a Creativity Ethic?
To be whole and happy you must express who you really are. To do that you must be able to see and honor who you are. Working with the tools of the The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron helped me to see how I had been dishonoring myself as a creative person and helped my creativity soar.
I was raised by a composer playwright, puppeteer. Summers were spent on tour with the puppets and mom. She had a passion for creativity and instilled this “Creativity Ethic” in me at an early age. This blog is dedicated to inspiring you to be creative as well as prosperous and happy.
Finding ways to be creative and also to contribute to the world and nurture myself has not been an easy road. There are ways to be a creative person without sucumbing to the “starving artist” stereotype. Using inspiring resources like Artist’s Who Thrive, and Personal Development For Smart People by Steve Pavlina have helped me to coordinate the different parts of my life so I can begin to create a lifestyle for myself where I can not only serve the world but do what is in my heart to do.
Living your passion and thriving is something that is worth finding for yourself. If you are not happy with your job or your level of creativity learn how to change your situation rather than settle for less.
